At just eight years old, Eli’s life, though brief, left a powerful and lasting impact on his family, friends, teammates, and all who had the joy of knowing him.
Eli was more than a young athlete—he was a bright light whose energy, kindness, and love for baseball brought people together. As a player in the Thorsby League and travel baseball, he was known for his enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and the joy he carried onto the field. His teammates admired him not only for his ability but for the spirit he brought to every game and practice.
The loss of someone so young is deeply heartbreaking, and the pain is felt across Chilton County and beyond. Eli’s passing has united the community in grief, prayer, and support for his loving parents, Adam and Lauren Barnes, his brother Parker, and all who loved him.
