Gary’s impact extended far beyond his personal life. He served his community with distinction as a member of the Citrus County Commission for 23 years, including two decades as a commissioner. Throughout his years in public service, he remained dedicated to the people of Homosassa Springs and the broader Citrus County area, working tirelessly to improve the lives of those around him. His leadership, integrity, and commitment left a lasting mark on the community.
In addition to his public service, Gary gave back through coaching youth sports, mentoring young people, and fostering a sense of teamwork and discipline. He also had a deep love for animals, especially his dogs, who were devoted companions throughout his life.
