A tragic incident unfolded in Glendale where a verbal altercation between two construction workers escalated into deadly violence, resulting in the death of 47-year-old Timothy McFarlin.
According to police, the confrontation occurred at a work site near 91st Avenue and Cardinals Way around 10:30 a.m. on April 23. What began as a dispute quickly intensified when one of the men retrieved a firearm from his work truck and opened fire, critically injuring McFarlin.
Emergency services were called immediately by the suspect, who remained at the scene, placed the weapon on the ground, and waited for authorities to arrive. He was subsequently detained by police for questioning.
McFarlin was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
The incident remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the shooting.
