A high-speed police chase in Las Vegas ended in a crash Thursday afternoon near Boulder Station Hotel and Casino, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Police say the incident began when officers spotted a vehicle matching the description of a suspect connected to an earlier domestic dispute. The car was first seen near Sandhill Road and La Brea Court.
When officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the driver fled at a high rate of speed, triggering a pursuit. The chase continued until the suspect’s vehicle crashed in the 4100 block of Boulder Highway.
Following the collision, the suspect attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by officers.
Authorities confirmed that no officers were injured during the incident. One individual involved in the crash was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The situation caused concern among residents and witnesses in the area, many of whom reported the incident as it unfolded. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding both the initial domestic incident and the chase are ongoing.
